About Us

We proudly highlight that our family business, named ‘Strugara Hrast Sirča’, was founded back in 1999. In an effort to meet the demands of the modern market, in 2016 we changed our name to ‘Strugara Hrast Sirča – Plus’, thus reflecting our commitment to enhancement and expansion of services. With over 25 years of experience, we successfully maintain a tradition of collaboration with carpentry workshops and other furniture manufacturers across all of Serbia.

The core business of the company is the sale of dry oak planks of premium quality intended for the production of high-quality solid wood furniture.

We carefully select and process the highest quality goods on the market for you. We opt for veneer logs and first-class oak logs, especially Pedunculate Oak (Quercus robur), which form the basis of our offer. Additionally, in smaller quantities, we include Sessile Oak (Quercus petraea), but only if it is of extra quality. In this way, we ensure that our products reflect the highest standards of quality and meet the needs and expectations of our customers.

The board is edged and trimmed, made in AB quality. Our main product is a board of 50mm thickness, but besides it, we produce in smaller quantities also a board of 27mm thickness, in various lengths and widths.

In addition to its main activities, the company also purchases round timber – oak logs throughout the territory of Serbia.

Learn more about this in the Timber Purchase section.

First, the logs are cut on an automated and digitalized sawmill, paying special attention to the precision and quality of the cut.
Afterwards, the timber goes to an automatic circular saw, which is also digitalized. Here, the bark is first removed, and then rotten and falling knots, the heartwood, bast, and other irregularities are eliminated if present, resulting in an edged clean board with minimal sapwood within tolerance.
This is followed by cutting the board to specific dimensions on a trimming saw. An excess of 40-50mm is allowed for each length.

After that, the board is moved to the warehouse where it is carefully stacked on pallets. Strict attention is paid to the method of stacking and the placement of stickers and spacers. The ends of the stacked boards are coated with a special glue that prevents cracking.

The board then enters modernly equipped drying kilns with the latest technology and begins the drying process. Inside the kiln, there are probes that monitor the humidity and temperature of the air, as well as the moisture content of the board itself. There are systems for regulating air humidity, as well as turbines and fans that control air circulation. The board comes out of the kiln with about 8-10% moisture and is ready for installation.

Your satisfaction with the quality and service is our highest priority. There are no limits in terms of quantity—you can buy the board per piece. Additionally, we offer you the option to choose the goods and select what best suits your needs. Our flexibility is key, as we want your experiences with us to be flawless.
